New Economy on the Cobblestone Survival Map
The Cobblestone Academy’s new survival map has a few new plugins! Most of these pertain to the in-game economy.
The in-game currency is emeralds. You can earn these the normal ways, by trading with villagers and by mining, but there are new ways to earn money as well. The server now has the jobs-reborn plugin. There are signs that allow you to take on a job, such as hunting or building or exploring. You will then be paid for doing that task. You may have three jobs.
Several of these plugins work with inventory GUIs. Inventory GUIs mean that you pick choices by choosing items from an inventory screen. For example, the picture below shows you the GUI of a shop. You can hold your mouse over the items to see the price. Click on it purchase. The shops can be opened by talking with the Non-Player-Characters. This shop is controlled by an NPC located near the well in the village you can get to by typing /mv tp survival

Another Inventory GUI that you might see is the Stablemaster’s GUI. Click on the stable master, and you’ll have a choice to pick-up your mount, leave your mount, pay your bills, or purchase a mount. If you choose to purchase a mount, you’ll have to choose one. The first you’ll be offered is a pig. If you don’t like it, press the button next to the carrot. Then you’ll be offered a horse. You can choose to upgrade your horse by clicking on the buttons next to the fence (for jump boost), wool (for color), mushroom (for health), feather (for speed), glass (for pattern). Changing the jump, health, and speed will increase the price of your mount. Click the gold bar to pay your bill and acquire your mount.
You need to be on your horse when you click on the stable master, if you want to leave your horse with him.

Now the prices at these stores are fairly high, and they will change as people buy and sell things. If too many people buy one product, the price will go up. If too many people sell a particular item to the store, the price people get will go down.
There are a few items in the shops that you might not recognize. I have added some head items. There are also special chests that lock and eggs that create furniture.
